Castlemanor Nursing Home is located at, Billis, Drumalee, Cavan, Co. Cavan, just a short distance from Cavan town, that consists of sixty nine single, unsuite bedrooms, and one double unsuite bedroom. The nursing home is designed specifically to meet the needs of residents who may require low, medium, high or maximun dependency care.
Long and short-term care, along with respite and convalescence nursing care can be accommodated. Our approach will ensure that the resident's individual needs are catered for, with the use of assessment tools prior to and on admission criteria, alongside the conducting of an indiviualised care plan.
Our team of care professionals are choosen for their specific qualifications and experience of working in care of the elderly.
Mary Wright, the Director of Care, working closely with Carmel Hopkins, the Deputy Director of Care, and Ann Kilker, the General Manager, consistently strive to ensure that residents individual needs are met through research, planning and delivering programmes that are appropriate for their daily living. Mary Sommerville, Head Chef, accommodates individual nutritional needs, by consulting with the resident as an individual on likes and dislikes of food and adapting to changes made by the Care team for medical reasons.
Castlemanor Nursing Home is divided into four sections:
Section one: Lough Ougher - is situated on the ground floor and is a designated Dementia Specific Unit. It consists of 13 single unsuite bedrooms, a dinning room, a sitting room, a multi sensory room, assisted bathroom, nurses station, along with house keeping and storage areas. Residents will have access to their own garden, the main activity room on the first floor and the oratory on the ground floor.
Section two: Lough Sheelin - is also situated on the ground floor. It consists of 14 single unsuite bedrooms, a dinning room, a sitting room, assisted bathroom, nurses station, along with house keeping and storage area. Residents will have access to the main activity room on the first floor, the oratory, the folia, gardens and grounds surrounding the nursing home.
Section three: Lough Inchin - is situated on the first floor. It consists of 20 single unsuite bedrooms, a dinning room, a sitting room, assisted bathroom, nurses station, alongwith with housekeeping and storage area. Residents will have access to the main activity room, the oratory on the ground floor, gardens and grounds of the nursing home.
Section four: Lough Rann - is situated on the first floor and consists of 22 single unsuite & 1 Double unsuite bedrooms, one a dinning room, a sitting room, assisted bathroom, nurses station, along with housekeeping and storage area. Residents will have access to the main activity room, the oratory on the ground floor, gardens and grounds of the nursing home.
Residents will have access to the visitors room and coffee dock situated on the ground floor, along with the seated areas on both floors, where relatives can visit you in privacy.
All residents also have access to the hair dressing salon, however you must check its availability when inviting your own hairdresser.
